• Endless Love

  Oh how I adore Endless Love, a feverish melodrama about adolescent love starring a fifteen year old Brooke Shields.  It really makes me swoon.  I listen to the Soundtrack on vinyl all the time, which contains one of my most treasured phrases ever uttered on screen.  Spoken by David, one of the hopeless romantics:

  “It’s like they used to say, my heart has wings, and I can just open myself up like this and my heart flies to Jade…”

  This would also make a perfect double feature with David Lynch’s Wild at Heart, and not just because they each have a suburban house in flames.
